Via Napoli Including Low Carb and High Fiber Options!

I have not been to Via Napoli in Italy, Epcot in ages. When a friend came to town and suggested it, I was onboard! (Thank you, Mary!) During my last visit, I enjoyed the delicious pizza that comes out of their charming ovens. However, like many people, I've changed my eating habits and it gave me a reason to try some alternative options.

The Food
Prosciutto e Melone ($9.00). Appetizer of Prosciutto di Parma and Cantaloupe.
This included a very generous serving of prosciutto. The melon really hit the spot on a hot day in the parks. For a light lunch, I think that I would have been satisfied with just this.

Gamberetti e Fagioli ($9.00). Appetizer of Jumbo Shrimp, Cannellini Bean Salad, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Lemon Juice.
The chilled shrimp on this dish were perfectly cooked and delicious. I also loved the flavor of the lightly dressed tomatoes in the salad. However, the beans were extremely under-cooked. A few were even difficult to pierce with a fork and I was unable to eat them. If cooked until tender, this dish would be a perfect protein and fiber burst to give you energy in the parks. One other thing that puzzled me about this dish was that it is a cold salad with chilled shrimp; however, the dish was warm to the touch when presented. My personal preference is for a non-heated plate for cold foods.
Due to the under-cooked beans, I was offered another dish, but I declined because I was already full. The dish is worth it for the shrimp alone.

Pepperoni Pizza-Individual ($21.00). Tomato Sauce, Pepperoni, Tomato, Mozzerella.
Of course, there still was some pizza to be had. I did not try this, but my friend really enjoyed it. It was loaded with pepperoni! It is listed as individual size, but there is easily enough to share. She was barely able to eat half of it.

All of the Cast at Via Napoi are absolutely, dare I say it, lovable. Even beyond what you may expect from a typical Disney Cast Member, their Italian charm shines through. Via Napoli is full of big bright smiles to greet you.

Indoor and outdoor seating is available. A long family style table with beautiful tile accents also stretches the length of the center of the room. There are pretty details all around the restaurant but nothing is over done. The main focus in the room is the open pizza kitchen and ovens.

*Via Napoli is handicapped accessible. Indoor and outdoor tables are available.
*Tables in Wonderland and The Disney Dining Plan are accepted.
