AristoCrepes Ooh La La!!

Whether you fancy a bit of savory or sweet, AristoCrepes has a treat for you! Located in the Disney Springs Marketplace at the end of the causeway near Goofy's Candy Company and Rainforest Cafe, it is a small kiosk that offers a wide variety of these freshly-filled, French delights.

I had the pleasure of sampling six crepes (3 savory and 3 sweet). Although the various fillings provide many options, the crepes themselves are all the same. The crepes are delicate and tender with a lightly crisp edge. They simply melt in your mouth! Each one is well-stuffed and more satisfying than a simple snack.  The prices ($8.99 for savory, $6.99 for sweet) make them a very affordable dining option as well. For the price, I would highly suggest grabbing a savory crepe AND a sweet crepe and making it a full meal!
At this time, AristoCrepes is open from 4-11 PM. I'm holding out hope that their hours will expand in the near future. I would definitely enjoy a sweet crepe for breakfast/brunch or a savory crepe for a nice weekend lunch while shopping around Disney Springs!
Before my review, just a reminder to tune-in to the Disney Dream Girls Podcast every Sunday for full reviews and updates of AristoCrepes and more from Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris!

The Food
Savory Crepes ($8.99 each)

BEEF Horseradish cream, Pickled Red Onion, Baby Spinach, Sharp Cheddar.
Although I do not personally eat beef, this was a favorite in my group. The beef (sirloin) was perfectly tender. The pickled red onions lent a slight bite to cut the richness of the meat, cheese, and cream. The spice of the horseradish was very mild, not overwhelming in the slightest.

VEGETARIAN Pickled Beets, Goat Cheese, Candied Pecans, and Baby Greens.

I loved this vegetarian option. It has all the flavors of a perfect salad all nestled inside a delicate crepe blanket. The pretty julienned pickled beets cut through the richness of the creamy, lightly-tart goat cheese for a lovely balance of flavors. The generous sprinkling of candied pecans added just the right amount of sweet crunch. This is a perfect summer day meal.
Also, take note from the picture that although these crepes are served in a portable little box, we were shown how the box can be torn down the middle and used as a "plate." Plastic knives and forks are also provided with napkins in small nooks on the sides of the kiosk.

TURKEY Brie, Dried Cranberries, and Dijon Spread.
This was probably my favorite of the savory options. It had the familiar, comforting flavors of the "holidays." It was piled-high with real roasted turkey. The spread is blended with honey, mayo, and cranberries. It adds more of a sweetness than a sharp bite that you may expect from straight dijon mustard. But, the standout flavor in this crepe is the brie. I adore brie and loved the strong flavor that it adds. If you aren't a fan, simply request that it be omitted or substituted with another option. The sharp cheddar from the savory beef crepe would be delicious as well!

SMOKED SALMON Cream Cheese, Capers, Onions, and Everything Bagel Topping.
Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to sample this flavor. But the combination sounds like the perfect brunch (please open earlier). I will definitely try it on my next visit and give my review on The Princess Papers and Disney Dream Girls Podcast.

Sweet Crepes ($6.99 each)

S'MORES Marshmallow Creme, Chocolate Sauce, and Graham Cracker Crumbs.
As much as I am familiar with the flavor of a s'more, when I took my first bite, I was surprised by the toasty marshmallow flavor. There are few things in this world more comforting than a toasted marshmallow and this crepe captures it! Add to that the rich chocolate sauce and it's a definite favorite! Before you step away from the AristoCrepes stand, you may want to just go ahead and order two.

BANANA Nutella and Salted Caramel.
~sigh~ Nutella...lots of nutella...a flowing river of nutella! This. Is. Sinful. For those who may be unfamiliar, nutella is a chocolate hazelnut spread. It is very rich like the filling of a fine chocolate candy. This crepe is overflowing with it and I DID NOT MIND ONE LITTLE BIT! Be prepared to get a little bit messy with this one if it's a hot day. (There may be moist towelettes available. Be sure to ask and check.) Absolutely worth a bit of messy fingers and lips.
I have to say that I didn't notice the salted caramel, but I also didn't realize that a salty caramel flavor was missing until after I was done devouring it. I'm a nutella purist and feared the salted caramel would detract from its perfection. But, there was no clashing of flavors in the slightest. If anything, it just enhanced the sweetness.

KEY LIME CHEESECAKE White Chocolate and Chiffon Crouton.
This was the only sweet crepe that I did not taste. However, several Guests were enjoying it and all gave it rave reviews. (Many thanks to the Guest who permitted my quick snap.) It looked luscious. The cake croutons are similar to the ones that top the Reflections in Memphis pastry available at Amorette's in Town Center.

STRAWBERRY ROMANOFF Whipped Cream, Sour Cream, Sugar, and Brandy.

If heaven serves dessert, this is it. Strawberries and cream is what I think of as a traditional crepe, but this is so much more. The strawberries are fresh and juicy. They absolutely hit the spot on a hot Florida day. The cream? There's so much cream!! (See photo showing cross-section.) The sour cream provides just a hint of tartness but also makes the whipped cream lovely and thick. It held up well in the heat. If you look closely, you can also see the little bits of vanilla bean throughout the cream. The quality greatly exceeded my expectations. I will guarantee that when you take your first bite of this crepe, you will catch yourself smiling!
Note: The strawberries are marinated with a touch of brandy, but it was not detectable. If you have an aversion to the flavor of alcohol, do not let that deter you from trying this sweet cloud of goodness.

For beverages, alcoholic sodas, beer, wine on tap, hot cocoa, and frozen cappuccino are available at the AristoCrepes kiosk.
With the addition of Aristocrepes, B.B. Wolf's Sausage Co. (REVIEW HERE), and Daily Poutine (REVIEW HERE) to Disney Springs, Guests now have more fabulous quick choices. I commend Disney for making these additions to allow greater flexibility for vacationers without dining reservations to not be so limited. Exciting, quick, scrumptious food options ARE available, and don't be afraid to mix and match!
The AristoCrepes and Poutine containers are highly portable. So, pick one up, wander around Disney Springs while noshing, then move to another kiosk to try something new! Enjoy a relaxing unscheduled vacation moment at Disney Springs. Just don't be surprised if you are stopped often and asked where you got that delicious food!
Now, I have the strong desire to create my own Princess Crepe by combining the Banana Nutella Crepe and Strawberry Romanoff Crepe into a decadent mountain of fruit, flowing chocolate, and cream.
